So far I'm 1 for 7 in all events I've played so far. I've played 5 WSOP events and 2 smaller side events. It feels like ages since I last cashed in a tourney and I have started to notice my play deteriorating. In all honesty I am yet to bring my "A" game to the table and probably don't deserve a decent win yet. It's pretty common to not cash in +7 large field tournaments in a row. It's just easier to handle online as it is in a shorter time-frame and less $$, in fact I went +35 tournaments without cashing online quite recently!

I decided to take a break from playing and party all weekend for Sickdog's birthday. We hit some of the sickest spots in town (Nobu, Tryst, Sapphires, MGM pool party) met some cool people and drank way too much!!! Would have some ballin' photos if my camera wasn't stolen fml!!! Taking a break gave me some time to re-focus and attack this week's schedule heads on! Also have some added motivation in the form of a $1k side bet with Sickdog on who will cash first in WSOP Event.

Today I played WSOP Event 20 - $2500 6-max which is probably my best game. I decided to take a different approach to this tournament which worked pretty well. I simply played super tight (really hard in 6-max and for a player like me) for the first 2 levels. This gave me a tight image and allowed me to run some elaborate bluffs and exploit my opponent's mistakes later in the tournament. I ran my 7.5k starting stack up to 15k with no showdowns. Then my tight image started to pay dividends as my opponents started making retarded bluffs against me and gifting me their chips. By level 4 I had 30k and was cruising and in full control of the table. Well, that was until I decided to butcher my 3x average stack by making a bad call for a top 10 stack. One weakness that has been costing me chips out here is the fact that I am giving certain opponents too much credit for their level of thinking. This has led to over thinking hands and therefore making bad calls/folds. I'm done with making massive hero calls now so if you are at my table, feel free to empty your clip ;)

I'm going to grind satellites and cash games quite a bit this week as they are great value out here. It's about time I win a Main Event Seat or spin up enough cash to direct buy-in!
